Yachting Monthly Selects the Pump International Patay DD 120M as the top Bilge pump
Yachting Monthly recently conducted a series of tests on marine bilge pumps from a number of leading manufacturers. The results of the tests were presented in the April 2010 edition of Yachting Monthly.
The Patay DD 120, Stock Item SKU: A2000 was described as the “The Clear Winner” and as “the Choice for rescue services and trans-ocean sailors”. It is double acting, meaning it delivers water on both strokes, and this, combined with 11/2in spigots, is an easy action and a 19in handle, meant even a weak-limbed tester could deliver 81 litres/min, which is 30% more than any other unit in the test. For stronger limbed individuals 120 litres per minute is a standard feature. The cast aluminium casing is extremely strong. Quick-release covers over the two chambers enable it to keep pumping even if one side blocks.

and fuel transfer, too. The removable handle is 15in long, and while
the action is easy, in terms of effort, it is also jerky, but the
